Site Access and Registration

Site Registration is currently free of charge, however it is ultimately the intention to  make a charge for registration to enable up-keep and expansion of the site. At that time users will be informed that site registration is being made chargeable and their existing access will be restricted until payment is made.

*      The site is designed to allow unregistered visitors a restricted degree of access to the site with the intent of allowing them to evaluate the degree to which site content may be of interest to them. Principally this means that their access is restricted to abstracts of the articles and book reviews presented on the site and that they are not able to make comments or participate in forums.

*      Registration, which requires users to supply names and contact information, allows users to access full articles and book reviews, to comment on content and to participate in forums. It does not, however, allow users to contribute articles or reviews to the site.

*      Initially users may register for free for a period of one week to allow assessment of the site after which they will remain registered but their access will again be restricted to that of a non-registered user. Full access will be restored on payment of the annual registration fee of £x.xx (to be determined).

*      Registered users wishing to contribute articles or reviews to the site must request upgrade of their paid up registration to Contributor Status. No charge will be made for this upgrade but it will be at the discretion of the site administrators and will ultimately be dependent on the suitability of submitted articles for inclusion on the site. Content that is subsequently deemed as unsuitable, for whatever reason, will be removed from the site and the contributor’s status will be adjusted as appropriate.

*      Paid registration will be valid for a fixed term of one year and a reminder will be sent out towards the end of that period to all registered users.

*      No registration fees will be refundable but users wishing to cancel their registration may do so by clicking here - cancel registration.
