This book is written by a Christian believer seeking to refute the atheist doctrines and arguments set forth in Richard Dawkins’s book The God Delusion. The book is interesting in that it presents a Christian viewpoint but it does not really offer more than that, there is little in the way a philosophical argument. Robertson may be fully justified, indeed right, to question both Dawkins and his objectives, but he does little to counter Dawkins’s basic premise that existence has its basis in evolution and not in intelligent design. Perhaps at the heart of the issues involved lies the problem that evolution is not fully understood by anyone, including Dawkins and Robertson. That understanding is itself evolving and for it to do so beneficially, for humans at least, the need for discussion and debate is of paramount importance. The success of our future lies in the achievement of truth and not fallacy as the basis of the Collective Mind (universal consciousness). Robertson and Dawkins, each in their own way, are playing a vital part in the promotion of this debate and their contributions are significant.
